Programs
North East Trees implements its mission through five core program areas which are:
- Urban Forestry - We develop urban forestry solutions for agencies, other organizations, communities and neighborhoods that maximize the net environmental benefits of protecting and enhancing the urban forest.
- Parks Design and Build - We plan, design, and build community, neighborhood and river adjacent parks and trails for the purpose of restoring native habitat and creating passive recreation opportunities.
- Watershed Rehabilitation - We plan, design, and implement watershed improvements with the express purpose of restoring waterways and associated habitat, improving water quality, and increasing stormwater infiltration.
- Youth Environmental Stewardship - We educate and train at-risk youth and young adults in environmental disciplines. These programs are designed to build individual character and develop a community-based work force to help steward environmental awareness in resource challenged communities.

- Community Stewardship - We assist neighborhoods and communities in the development of resources, capacity, and network links that are "Bringing Nature Back" in resource challenged and environmentally challenged communities. This helps interested residents and business owners take action by initiating, developing, and maintaining such improvements.
