Marketing & Communications Specialist

Position Overview:

North East Trees is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Marketing & Communications Specialist to support storytelling, brand visibility, and community engagement across our projects and programs. This role will help elevate NET’s voice by managing digital and video content, producing marketing materials, and supporting events that connect communities to nature.

The ideal candidate is both creative and detail-oriented, passionate about nature, with strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Strategic Development.

Community Engagement Coordinator

Position Overview:

The Community Engagement Coordinator leads outreach efforts that connect communities with NET’s mission and projects. This role builds relationships, fosters participation, and gathers valuable community input to guide ongoing and future initiatives. The Community Engagement Coordinator is a connector, communicator, and advocate who can inspire action and help grow our impact. The ideal candidate is an experienced community builder who can design and lead culturally relevant engagement strategies, represent NET in diverse settings, and elevate our visibility across the region.

Urban Forestry Crew Supervisor

Position Overview:

The Crew Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, managing work crews, ensuring safety and efficiency, and coordinating logistics for NET’s Urban Forestry work and projects. After at least one year of experience, at the discretion of their Manager and Department Director, a Crew Supervisor may be eligible for a level 2 Supervisor wage increase and more responsibilities, such as overseeing larger-scale projects and ensuring quality control across operations. This role requires leadership, problem-solving, and strong communication skills to support project success. When other positions become available, internal candidates are strongly considered for advancement.

Urban Forestry Youth Crew
